Nickola Sybblis - Founder and Principal Attorney
Job Position
Known by her clients and colleagues as a zealous, compassionate, and dedicated advocate, Nickola N. Sybblis works to ensure each client’s legal matter is resolved with the best possible outcome. Sybblis Law Firm, LLC (SLF) was established with two fundamental cornerstone principles; provide zealous advocacy and exceptional service to each client. SLF focuses primarily on handling all aspects of family law matters; including but not limited to divorce, custody, child support, adoptions, guardianships, name change, and modifications.
Prior to establishing SLF, Ms. Sybblis spent several years working as a Supervising Attorney at a medium-sized firm located in Baltimore City where she gained significant experience practicing family law, personal injury, Child in Need of Assistance, and complex civil litigation. Ms. Sybblis believes in giving back to the community and demonstrates this by volunteering on different pro-bono projects such as Anne Arundel County’s Homelessness Day and the Lawyer in the Library program. She also represents pro-bono clients through the Maryland Volunteer Lawyer Services (MVLS).
Ms. Sybblis is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Anne Arundel Bar Association, James C. Cawood, Jr. American Inns of Court, and the Alliance of Black Women Attorneys. She serves as the co-chair of the community services division for the Anne Arundel Bar Association and was awarded the President’s Pro Bono Service Award for 2019-2020.
Ms. Sybblis earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law and a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Relations and Political Science from the University of the West Indies.
In addition to being a fierce advocate, Ms. Sybblis is a wife and a mother. Her greatest joy comes from spending time with her family.

Rachel Tucker - Associate Attorney
Job Position
Meet Rachel Tucker, a compassionate attorney committed to serving families and the community with empathy and dedication. Rachel’s impressive educational journey includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Politics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law with a Certificate in Family Law, and a Master of Laws from Chicago Kent College of Law. She is admitted to practice law in both Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Rachel joined Sybblis Law Firm in the summer of 2024, bringing a wealth of experience from her previous work in Family and Immigration Law and her time as a project manager for the Department of Defense. Her diverse background equips her with unique perspectives and skills that benefit her clients.
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Rachel moved to the DMV area to be closer to her younger siblings and three nephews. She has embraced the opportunities the region offers and is passionate about making a positive impact, inspired by her grandmother’s work as a social worker.
Rachel’s approach to practicing law is deeply client-centered. She takes the time to understand her client’s unique circumstances and works collaboratively to find tailored solutions. Known for her humor, compassion, and ability to connect with people, Rachel’s clients appreciate her empathy, persistence, and unwavering loyalty. As a certified Best Interests Attorney, she is passionate about advocating for children and ensuring their voices are heard, guiding families through challenging custody and family law matters with care and commitment.

Patricia N. Tuon - Associate Attorney
Job Position
Patricia N. Tuon is an empathetic and steadfast attorney whose practice is rooted in service, advocacy, and empowering clients through some of life’s most difficult transitions. Her love of family law began at age 17, when she first interned with the House of Ruth Domestic Violence Legal Clinic in Rockville, Maryland. That early experience showed her how thoughtful legal advocacy can help protect families, support survivors, and give clients the tools to move forward with dignity and confidence.
Patricia brings more than eight years of experience serving individuals and families throughout Baltimore City and across Maryland. Before joining Sybblis Law Firm in May 2026, she served as a Staff Attorney with the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland, representing clients in housing-related matters and tenants facing eviction or housing subsidy termination. She also spent several years with the Maryland Center for Legal Assistance at The Court’s Self-Help Centers, where she focused heavily on family law and advised self-represented litigants on custody, visitation, child support, divorce, domestic violence protective orders, and related court procedures.
At Sybblis Law Firm, Patricia is proud to support the firm’s commitment to zealous advocacy, exceptional service, and compassionate representation for Maryland families. She believes clients should feel heard, informed, and empowered at every stage of their case.
Patricia is active in Maryland’s legal community. She serves as Executive Secretary of the Monumental City Bar Association, a position once held by the Honorable Justice Thurgood Marshall. Patricia helps plan regular bar programming and serves on the Association’s Judicial Selection Committee. She also is a Fellow in the Maryland State Bar Association Leadership Academy 2026-2027 class.
Patricia earned her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law and holds degrees in Sociology and Women’s Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, sewing West African outfits, carpentry, refurbishing antique furniture, and indoor gardening.
Tawyna Bailey - Paralegal
Job Position
Tawyna Bailey was raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland. She completed the Paralegal Program at The Catholic University of America in May of 2023 and is a member of Lambda Epsilon Chi. She enjoys candle-making, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her children. Ms. Curry enjoys being a positive light by helping others through life’s challenges.


Christy Craig - Paralegal
Job Position
Originally from Ponchatoula, Louisiana, Christy earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from Louisiana State University Shreveport in 2016. While initially pursuing a career in education, she discovered that her problem-solving abilities and organizational skills were better suited to the legal profession. She subsequently completed her paralegal certification through Louisiana State University and transitioned into the legal field.
With over five years of legal experience, Christy has worked in civil litigation, personal injury, family law, and criminal defense, with a particular focus on post-conviction relief and criminal appeals. Known for her exceptional organizational skills and commitment to client service, she strives to provide efficient, compassionate support to clients and attorneys alike.
Christy relocated to Maryland in 2023 and quickly fell in love with Baltimore's rich history, vibrant culture, and strong sense of community. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with her husband and pets.
Racherd Batson - Paralegal
Job Position
Racherd Batson is a dedicated paralegal with over five years of experience supporting a diverse range of legal practices, including civil litigation, criminal law, family law, employment law, and immigration. Throughout her career, she has provided comprehensive litigation and case management support, including work with federal operations as a federal contractor.
Mrs. Batson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from the University of Maryland Global Campus and an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice from Montgomery College. She is fluent in Spanish and is deeply committed to delivering exceptional legal support with professionalism and attention to detail.
Damiya Cabell - Case Manager
Job Position
Damiya Cabell is the Case Manager for Sybblis Law Firm, LLC (SLF). In 2020, Damiya began as a part-time legal secretary and now manages each case from its inception to its closure. As the Case Manager, Damiya offers an amazing combination of perception, planning, listening, resourcefulness, advocacy, and most importantly, care to support our many clients during the complex family law process. With exceptional communication and organizational skills, Damiya ensures that each case, and the office, flows efficiently. Damiya has also implemented and improved office practices and processes to assist in ensuring that no steps are missed. It is Damiya's goal to ensure that all of our clients feel prioritized from the beginning.


Andrie Sybblis - Firm Administrator
Job Position
Andrie is our Firm Administrator aka Mr. Miscellaneous. Andrie studied Mechanical Engineering, but he transitioned to Air Traffic Control (ATC) after college. He worked as an Air Traffic Controller for 10 years, prior to resigning to move to the United States to be with his family. Andrie has always played an integral role at Sybblis Law Firm from its inception, supporting his wife, Nickola by serving in any and all capacity he was needed. However, in January 2022, he decided to join the firm full-time. He joined the firm so he could be more present for his family but also because of his growing desire to help others through difficult times to have the peace of mind and the happiness they deserve.
Andrie is a strong believer in doing things to the best of your ability or just don't do it at all. He is passionate about what he does and believes everyone should be respected.
When Andrie is not at work he is usually spending time with family making wonderful memories. He also likes to travel, meet new people, and strike up interesting conversations.
Krystal Serrant - Law Clerk
Job Position
Krystal is a dedicated law clerk with a passion for justice and equity. She earned her degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, where she cultivated strong research and advocacy skills. A proud Prince Georges County native, she has a deep commitment to supporting families through complex legal matters. Her professional experience includes advocating for youth-focused reforms, such as raising the minimum age of incarceration and implementing preventative programming for at-risk youth, highlighting her dedication to protecting vulnerable individuals.
Known for her exceptional communication and organizational skills, Krystal excels at navigating sensitive family law cases, ensuring that attorneys and clients receive thoughtful, efficient, and empathetic support.
Outside of her work, she enjoys painting, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
